Your move, step by step
Your internet when moving from China to Hungary: what to arrange and when
Before you leave China
Check how to end your home broadband contract in China: whether your package has a fixed term, how your carrier wants you to cancel and whether you need to return the modem. Plan this for your last weeks, so you are not paying for a connection after you have left.
Your +86 mobile number deserves extra attention. WeChat, Alipay and your bank use it for verification codes. Before you leave, ask your carrier about a low-cost number retention plan, so your number is not recycled, and about how you can receive verification codes while you are abroad. If you do give up the number, update it in your important apps first.
Once you know your new address in Hungary, enter it in the availability check and place your order from China. Moving for work in Debrecen or Szeged? See what is available in your city.
